877. Diogenes et Poculum Eius. Diogenes Cynicus ubique secum ferre solebat poculum ligneum, quo aquam sibi e fonte hauriret. Sed cum aliquando videret puerum manibus aquam haurientem, poculum abiecit. “Apage,” inquit, “quid mihi te opus est? Carere poculo possum; manus idem mihi officium praestabunt.”
