M0489 - M0490 - M0491
490. Passer in Myrto Degens. Passerculus quidam degebat in myrto; captusque amoenitate arboris, numquam inde recedebat. Auceps vero, qui illi fuerat insidiatus, correptum volebat interficere. Passerculus autem, neci proximus, ita locutus fertur, “Heu misero mihi, cui ciborum dulcedo attulit necem.”

M0490 = Perry086. Source: Syntipas 58 (translated into Latin). This is Perry 86. Compare the fable of the mouse in the pot, #201.
